Laury has over 25 years of experience in workforce development. As the Senior Manager of Program Marketing and Administration at the Institute, Laury plays an integral role in the Institute’s “Growing Apprenticeships in Nanotechnology and Semiconductors” (GAINS) Program and support of the National Talent Hub. Prior to joining the Institute, Laury served as the Director of Apprenticeship and Workforce Development at the Manufacturers Association of New York (MACNY), where she led initiatives focused on the upskilling of the current and future workforce in the advanced manufacturing sector. In this role, she worked directly with manufacturers developing US DOL Registered Apprenticeships both across New York State and nationally with Jobs for the Future (JFF), where she acted as a Subject Matter Expert for their IDEA-M and Youth Intermediary Contracts.

While in her role at MACNY, Laury also acted as a liaison between K-12 schools, community colleges, vocational education providers, and businesses to build pre-apprenticeship programs supporting the expansion of the first-of-its-kind, member association-led NYSDOL group sponsor program, The Manufacturers Alliance Intermediary Apprenticeship Program (MIAP).

In addition to her responsibilities within the workforce development team, Laury worked with MACNY’s training department to deliver training to members and worked directly with companies on developing their own internal competency-based training programs. She also facilitated the launch of MACNY’s Career and Talent Platform.

Before joining MACNY, Laury held related positions in manufacturing companies, including Anoplate Corporation as Corporate Training and Development Manager, and led their apprenticeship program. Laury has over 25 years of experience in manufacturing and brings a wealth of knowledge with her. The Institute is excited to have Laury onboard to help companies develop their future workforce.
